I have been working in technology and IT recruitment since 2004, starting as a Consultant then being promoted to Managing Consultant at the age of 23. I have supported many Financial Services companies’ key technology sites (including JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Barclays) and helped them grow their teams from the start of their journey in Scotland up to the present – and into the future. As well as FS clients, I have worked with, and continue to support the recruitment efforts of, many international consultancy firms, oil & gas businesses, software companies and other global firms, such as GE, regularly working with the same companies, contacts and clients over the last 12 years.
I have managed recruitment teams, managed services and also led my own recruitment business, but have always remained hands-on. I pride myself on having a thorough knowledge of what my candidates do and what my clients need, thus being able consistently to match the right people to the right roles. I have recruited for mainframe Adabas Natural roles, Infrastructure Systems Administrators, Java and .Net Developers through to Big Data Architects, both on a permanent and contract basis. My belief is that business, and recruitment in particular, is about the people involved. This was one of the principal reasons I joined Be-IT, as we have a very experienced, highly skilled team, all focused on providing the best client and candidate experience in the market.
Be-IT Resourcing’s Glasgow office was launched in September 2016 to complement our already successful Edinburgh office and continue the company's growth. I head up the Glasgow function and it is my responsibility to grow the team here, engage with candidates and clients alike, offer an excellent customer experience and ensure that we add value at every stage of the recruitment process for the buoyant technology and digital recruitment community in west Scotland and beyond.
