Sorry, that’s a bad pun in our headline. It would have been better if it was called V-Cloudy…or perhaps not. You can see why we’re an IT resourcing and programme management business, not professional comedians. Nevertheless, Be-IT is delighted to announce that we have successfully tendered to be part of G-Cloud 7. So we are confident there are bright times ahead!
G-Cloud 7 is the new incarnation of the Digital Marketplace, an excellent government initiative that allows public sector organisations to find and compare cloud-based services. In our case, these will include (but are not limited to) PMO, Project/Programme Management, Infrastructure, Security, Data, Architecture, Cloud Transitioning Service, and Analysis.
For Be-IT, our involvement over the last few years with public sector clients such as the Student Loans Company helped considerably when defining our revised service definitions against future technology and digital needs within the Public Sector.. Earlier this year we attended Gov 2.0 ICT in London and we were so well received that we’re going back to the capital for the next Government ICT event, on 12th January 2016 with another planned for June 2016 at the Excel.
As part of our approach to the public sector, we’ve worked hard to understand what’s important to them when making buying decisions and what are the appropriate words to use in describing our services.
We are well aware that public sector procurement/buyers are charged with getting the maximum bang for the public buck and are evaluated to ensure they do just that. Be-IT has invested a lot of time in understanding what buyers need to run a compliant project and we trust this will help us gain even more work from this updated framework – which is, of course, the ultimate objective for both government and suppliers!
Congratulations to all the Be-IT team who worked so hard on the successful tender to G-Cloud 7. The aim of the Digital Marketplace is to make it simpler, clearer and faster for those in the public sector to buy what they need. We look forward to working further with them in the (very near!) future.
