He likes his iPhone, economics and financial stuff, curry and hot climates (so no holidays in Scotland then?!), and Alasdair Walker's rants make him laugh. He's our new Resourcer and he is...
Name: Rory Smith
Job title: Resourcer

This is Money – I’m a big economics and financial markets enthusiast.

LinkedIn – I like how easy it is to keep up to date with my network.

What other jobs have you done?
Prior to coming to Be-IT I worked in the public sector doing HR administration. I also completed a short internship in Finance a few years ago.
What it your biggest disaster at work (anywhere)?
I think I could probably list all the usual recruitment stories below – One of the funniest was when one of my former colleagues was convinced someone was going to work in a role which was a 2-hour commute – Needless to say the candidate never turned up.
Why did you join Be-IT?
I joined Be-IT because I really bought into the culture here. Everyone is extremely passionate about what they do and know their markets extremely well – If I was a candidate I would come straight to Be-IT if I was looking for a new role.
Favourite food and drink and where in the world would you like to be when you are having them?
I’m not a fussy eater at all, but my favourite food would have to be curry – Preferably outside somewhere with a hot climate.
Recommend a restaurant and/or bar for us?
Mother India’s Cafe – The food is fantastic and I love the tapas concept.
Which one of your colleagues makes you laugh the most?
Some of his rants are first class.
