As an Director of ICT you will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the ICT function within the Group of Companies. You will provide strategic direction for the ICT function and will ensure that the IT Strategy will be effective in delivering the key objectives set as part of the Business Planning Process.
The key corporate responsibility will be to develop a culture of quality and continuous improvement and ensure that the ICT function has the necessary people, skills, resources and infrastructure in place to achieve the current and future objectives.
You will contribute at a Senior Team level to define the corporate strategy for the Group of Companies
You will provide strategic advice to the Senior Team, Committee Members and Board Members in respect of information technology, communications and information management
You will be responsible for driving the Digital Transformation agenda and ensure that ICT is embedded across the organisation to improve services and processes
Lead and manage the ICT functions and activities to provide cost effective and high-quality services to the Group of Companies with a focus on maximising ICT resources.
Resource, manage, motivate and develop the ICT team to provide excellent services through embracing best practise, innovation, advances in technology and security of systems and delivery.
Ensure that the ICT Strategy is underpinned with professional ICT expertise and that the service anticipates and is responsive to the changing and challenging external environment.
Provide a high-quality service to the internal and external customers of the Group of Companies including in areas like business analysis, systems management, user support and training, project management and telephony.
As a member of the Senior Team, support the continuous enhancement of the capability and effectiveness of the organisation to meet current and future business objectives.
Forecast and monitor budgets for the successful implementation of the ICT Strategy in a cost-effective manner.
Prepare and deliver the ICT activity plan and contribute to the production of the Business Plans.
Ensure that all systems and processes are fully compliant with current legislation, best practise and security requirements to safeguard the data.
Degree in a relevant IT discipline
Experience of managing a customer facing service including management and engagement of internal stakeholders
Experience of strategic planning and delivery of ICT services for a diverse and complex organisation
Financial management experience including prioritising and targeting resources within budget
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex ICT programmes and budgets
Excellent project management skills
Significant exposure operating as part of a Senior Management Team, making a broad and significant contribution to strategic and operational decisions
Able to make effective decisions in a pressured environment
Able to evidence strong leadership skills and develop a positive culture
Effective communications skills through presentations, report writing and in meetings
Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships at a senior level
Able to lead, manage and motivate staff to achieve their full potential
