You will join an established software development team as a software engineer specialising in Java, object oriented design and design patterns. You will require strong analytical and problem solving skills and will ideally have a degree in computer science, geoscience, applied mathematics, physics, engineering or similar.
To be successful in this role you will need experience of working on complex products using the latest Java technologies you will have a proven track record in commercial software development and in an ideal world have worked on Geology or Geophysics applications previously. You will have excellent communications skills and provide routine updates to key stakeholders.
It would be advantageous if you have any knowledge of one or more of the following; Eclipse RCP framework, Java GUI (swing or SWT), Oracle Java cert, cloud computing, micro-services, big data analytics or spark.
