You will be instrumental in supporting the Project Management function within a project services environment, this role requires a strong well rounded and dynamic individual with proven project management or Reporting to either a Programme or Portfolio Manager within Project services, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the successfully delivery of change and IT projects to agreed time and commercial environment.
You will work on end client’s site in their modern office to support project initiation and definition of required deliverables and governance models, plan the project, agree the plan with project board/steering committee, and prepare detailed plans for each stage.
Your daily tasks will include defining the project scope, ensuring products and deliverables are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality, TCF and compliance objectives; monitoring the progress and taking the necessary corrective actions; reporting the project board and engaging with key business and client stakeholders; documenting and assessment of risks, issues and dependencies relating to a project; providing project updates.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a proven track record in change project management within the financial services sector, ideally with Life & Pensions experience, a sound knowledge of project planning processes, techniques and methodologies, a clear understanding of risks/issues as well as their impact on project, including the definition and execution of effective risk mitigation actions.
Additionally, you need to have an excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills as well as demonstrate a professional approach and manner.
Having a relevant professional certification (Prince 2 Foundation / Prince 2 Practitioner) and good IT skills, Excel and MS Project.
