The Company and the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to give your career a boost in a highly successful, $800 million worth international company which is a Microsoft Gold Partner. You will join a dynamic and professional team of Technical Consultants based in Glasgow city centre, to act as a technical SME and actively contribute to the delivery of the company’s new software platform. This is a business critical role, where you will engage with clients to understand their business needs, suggest the best solutions and actively engage in a technical delivery process.

Our client is a well-established company, with a clear vision and constant drive to provide best-in-class product to their clients operating in the Financial Sector. In this role, you will have a chance to polish your stakeholder and project management skills, as well as use hands-on technical skills to implement the design. Additionally, the company offers excellent training opportunities to their employees and possibility to advance within the organisation.

The roles involve on-site client visits, therefore some travel will be required, however, mostly around Central Belt.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, have an experience of stakeholder management, as well as the ability to provide analysis, suggest suitable technical solutions and create technical documentation.

As for the technical requirements – you need good SQL/ T-SQL coding skills, an understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), knowledge of relational database development and design (ideally on Microsoft SQL 2005/2008/R2), and an experience of either ETL / Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing/ MI.
